How to Boost your Performance in Affiliate Marketing
July 1, 2015 If you are like most people, you get to a point in your affiliate
business where you need to push more for whatever reason be it more
money, prestige, popularity or the need to prove something. That’s
great! The worst thing that can happen to an affiliate marketer is to
become blase and bored with his career. Here are some ideas to get the
creative and marketing juices flowing.
Use an Email Tracking Software
This type of software makes your email marketing efforts more
successful. In short, it lets you know if your email has been opened or
whether it is simply being thrown in the virtual thrash without being
read. If you find that all your emails are being ignored by a specific
person, take a hint – they’re simply not that into you or what you’re
offering. As such, you should go ahead and delete them from your list
and save yourself the hassle of being tagged a spammer. Unsolicited
email can easily backfire so it’s best to closely supervise it while
building an email list of legitimate subscribers and followers.
Start Offering Freebies
Freebies don’t have to be tangible items. You can offer perks like free
expert tips, a short report or even an eBook on a subject that interest
your target market. You can also offer a free product or service for
the Xth person who signs up to be put on your list. There are many great
ideas to encourage engagement and inspire people to give you their
information. Always think out of the box and you’ll eventually find
creative ways to reach your target and inspire them to action.
Avoid Flashing Ads and Banners
The quickest way to get a person to leave your website is to have
something flashing on the screen. Internet users have been warned time
and again about pop-up ads and this has automatically flowed into
flashing “whatchamacallits.” They’re annoying and very distracting. So,
be careful about the type of flashing ads and banners you use. Make the
messages memorable and professional to avoid irritating the viewer.
Improve Your Content
If you can’t write, hire someone. There are various websites that allow
you to use their content for free as long as you acknowledge their site
in return. You can also start a blog as an affiliate marketer and turn
your own life into an Internet reality show. There are many ways to get
visitors to come back to your site and turn it into a regular habit. If
you hit a wall, why not consult with an experienced copywriter? They can
help you use captivating words and phrases and really inspire and
motivate readers to action.
Finally, use whatever help the
affiliate program is offering. They should be willing to give you
interactive banners, PLR articles (you can rewrite) and product
specifications. They’re there to help you help them and typically do so
without charging you. Of course, be discerning about copying text
verbatim. After all, many affiliates take the lazy route and simply copy
whatever content is given to them. They don’t change the content or
improve up it. As such, they’re content is often penalized by search
engines and ignored by readers because they are tired of seeing the
“same old content everywhere.” Always use fresh and original content
that demonstrates your product knowledge, highlights how it will help
them. This alone will encourage your target audience to trust and buy
from you.
How to Protect Your Affiliate Commissions From Scam
June 26, 2015 Of course you have to take steps to protect your income or
commission! It’s why you’re working so hard. Successful affiliate
marketers are earning in the hundreds of dollars in both passive and
active income. There are affiliate marketers who have relied completely
on income from their affiliate marketing efforts to cover every day
expenses like their rent or mortgage, utilities, cars, boats, you name
it. Making a great income can happen but only if you make sure that
those scammers don’t get their hands on your hard earned money.
Did you know that over 90% of new affiliate marketers
drop out because they become victims of clever scam artists? Yes, only
5% are likely to make it to a six figure income, not because they aren’t
talented and not because they don’t know what they’re doing but simply
because they haven’t studied the tricks of the trade and knew how to
avoid scams.
In this article, we’ll discuss how to protect your affiliate commissions from scams. Are you ready? Let’s begin.
Use Tracking Software
Did you know that you can find software online that can keep track
specifically of affiliate income? The choice of software is pretty
extensive. You can spend as little as $15 or as high as $50 and this
small investment will help you keep track of your affiliate campaigns,
how much commissions you’re expected and more.
Ask for Analytics or Tracking Program from the Affiliate Program
Honest affiliate programs usually give marketers some in-house method
of tracking income. It’s a good place to start since the program should
know the extent of the commission structure. If an affiliate program has
nothing to help you keep on top of your earnings, then it’s best to
look for another program. Of course, you also can’t rely 100% on the
in-house apps. Instead, it is best to combine their methods with
personal accounting so that you can cross check their reports. If you
don’t, you might lose big money.
Ask a Lot of Questions
Scammers hate having to answer questions. That’s not what they signed
up for so make sure that you ask any affiliate partners a bunch of
questions and possibly get a written contract before you start promoting
their products. For instance, you should get clarification about the
amount of commission you’ll be paid, how often you’ll receive your
payment, the specific tracking program they use, etc.
Don’t Be Persuaded To Divulge Financial Details
Scammers are excellent at getting people to cough up personal and
financial details. They will use any tactic to convince you that you
need to tell them these things so you can earn more or be more
successful. In the first place, it does not cost anything to sign up as
an affiliate marketer; there is no upfront purchase or membership fee.
The only upfront costs may be the initial product purchase. After all,
you should definitely try out all products and services before you buy
anything.
In conclusion, affiliate marketing Is fun and
lucrative – and that’s exactly why scammers are out there gunning for
your money. By using tracking software, asking for and reviewing
analytics, asking questions and being careful about divulging personal
information, you can protect yourself and your commissions!
How to Increase Your Affiliate Sale

new affiliate marketer you are right now concerned about how to increase
your sale? How to make visitors of your website to buy something?
Because you are an affiliate marketer, you want higher conversion rate
and sales from what you are getting right now. You have seen the experts
showing off their sales statistics and you are wondering how do it and
you want to know their secret. Well the answer quite simple and it will
apply on any type of affiliate product or service you are promoting
right now.
Here are some ways about how you can get your sales statistics high:
Email Marketing: Email
marketing is the most economic and still most effective way of private
communication with your targeted audience. Sending a personalized email
makes the potential customer feel he is important for you. But first you
have to build an email list. When you have a huge list of email address
with the permission of their owners you can make a huge profit. It is
important for you not to spam their inbox with affiliate offers only,
you should add some valuable content with it also which will only
increase the chance of getting them to buy the product you are offering.
Like sharing some tips or manuals about how to use etc will gain you
more trust from your subscribers. You will also need an email service
provider like Mail Chimp, Aweber, Alpha Sandesh, Constant Contact etc.
Start Posting Guest Blogs: Usually
guest posts are very favourable to get the high position quickly.
However, there is another way of using it. This can be carried out by
placement of affiliate links into guest content and doing so on a
recognized blog. It is true that many of the bloggers would not allow
affiliate links publishing on their blogs but still it is worth a try.
Review Writing: Review
writing is the best way to promote an affiliate product or service.
However, if you are not good at writing then it can on the other hand
harm your objectives adversely as well. You can always hire experts for
this.
As an added advantage, if you can do some SEO on your
content it would further improve the leads. Your published review can go
on top of search results in search engine result pages and thus more
people would convert into more product sales. Remember that, terms like
‘coupon codes’, ‘discount’, etc. are explored regularly so using them
would mean better outcomes. Try them in order to improve sales!
Social Media Promotion: Proficient
social media skills can also help you a lot in attaining the standards
set by you. It can be innovatively used to market and share your
product’s information to an extensive prospective consumer platform.
You can improve your sales by utilizing the power of social media by
sharing and embedding affiliate links on your social platform. Some of
the social media websites which can be used successfully are; Facebook,
Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, etc. But make it sure to do
not spam too much or it can adversely affect your affiliate campaign.
Using Sponsored Ads: Although
Google AdWords do not allow to use affiliate links but there are still
many options other than it. 7 Search, Facebook ads, Affinity etc are
some networks which you can use to promote your affiliate campaign.
Providing Free Service: This
is the most used strategic way among all affiliate marketers. Assume
that you are providing coupon codes but the user first have to click the
button first to get that code. When the visitor simply select the
discount coupons, they can be redirected to product’s website and thus
enabling better possibility of product being viewed and purchased. But
know that, not every merchant allow this type of strategies.
Learn About Affiliate Marketing And How To Use It
June 7, 2015 So what is affiliate marketing and how does it work. Well basically
it is all about promoting other people’s products and in return they pay
you commissions. However there are many things to consider before you
jump in and start promoting a bunch of products or any affiliate
products as far as that goes.
First of and most important make sure you have used
the product or know something about the product! It is a lot easier to
promote something that you are familiar with and know that the
particular product is indeed going to be useful for people. Don’t just
start joining programs and pasting links all over. Trust me that is not
the way to go about it! Always know and trust the product or service you
are promoting.
The next thing you want to look at is what
percent of commissions do they pay out? Typically I try to stay with at
least 50%. Next make sure they have good promotional methods set up and
already in place such as promotional links, banners or email campaigns.
You want to make sure it is worth your while and easy to promote.
If you have an existing website then you typically want to join or
promote affiliate markets that are similar to what your website is about
or somehow linked to it. Assuming you are getting traffic or regular
visitors then they will already be interested in your particular market.
While this method is not a must, in my opinion it is what works best
and at least it will get you heading in the right direction while you
become more familiar with promoting other affiliate markets.
Do you need a website to promote other people’s products? Well normally
I would say yes at least in the past, however there are ways to get
into affiliate marketing without having your own website. One way to do
this is to join blog sites that are similar to what products you are
promoting and post there with your affiliate links in the post. However
make sure you are very careful with this method! First of all make sure
whatever blog you may post to allows this method first! Second, don’t
just start posting a bunch of links, make some simple posts first and
establish yourself. Once you have done that then you may recommend a
product or service that may help them.
The best way to get
started with affiliate marketing is to visit Clickbank they have a very
wide variety of products to promote. You can search through their data
base and find what best fits your needs. Once you find something that
may interest you they provide a special link for you to start promoting
the affiliate product of your choice.
I still normally recommend
that you have your own website if you really want to make money online
especially if you are going to get into affiliate marketing. Again it is
not an absolute must but in my opinion it is the best route to go.
